“As he Lay dying a New York City hospital bed in January 1991 William Wadsworth the man known as the Father of Bowhunter Education wrote the sobering farewell message to a select group of his most loyal and fervent disciples. "Educating bowhunters is the most important thing we can do to assure that bowhunting has a future. I'll soon be leaving you and I'm concerned that this important work be carried on. Its up to you, the National Bowhunter Education Foundation's Board of Directors, volunteers instructors, everyone associated with the sport to support our education efforts. Please pass this on to the gang and tell them I'll always be with them." He was and is with us. Then and Now.”

The NJBHHoF thanks M.R. James for graciously allowing us to use this excerpt.
